Edit, publish and update without the render
The everyday PatchCut loop: bring in footage, cut it, publish it, and fix it later — the link and embed never change.
Start with a project
Create a project first, then upload your clips straight into it. Uploads keep going if you move to another page, and you can watch their progress at the bottom of the screen.
Long clips are trimmed before upload where possible, so you only send the part you need.
Cut on the timeline or the script
Use the Timeline for clips, titles, music and layout, or switch to the Script view to cut by deleting words from the transcript. Both views edit the same video, and one Undo covers either.
What you see in the editor preview is what viewers will see in the player.
Publish in three steps
The bar along the bottom of a project walks you through Details, Visibility and Prelaunch, then Publish. Prelaunch checks things like a missing thumbnail or captions before you go live.
Fix a live video
Open the project, make your change and publish again. Every link and embed shows the new version straight away — nothing is re-rendered or re-uploaded.
Each release is kept in version history, so you can see what changed and roll back if you need to.
Exports are a safety net
You can still download a finished file or send it to Google Drive for archiving, but you never need to export to publish.
