Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 October 2026

These terms explain what you can expect from PatchCut and what we expect from you.

This policy is being finalised with legal advisers and may change before general launch.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using PatchCut you agree to these terms. If you use PatchCut for an organisation, you confirm you can accept them on its behalf.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity in your workspace, including that of people you invite.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live.

Your content

You keep all rights to the videos, audio, text and other material you upload. You give PatchCut a limited licence to store, process, convert, stream and display that material only so we can run the service for you and the viewers you share with.

This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons, such as copyright notices.

Acceptable use

Do not upload or share anything illegal, harmful to children, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights. Do not upload malware, scrape the service, try to get around storage or export limits, or interfere with other users.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Plans and fair use

Each plan sets limits on storage, upload size, exports and resolution. Free videos show a PatchCut badge and may include ads. We may change plan features with reasonable notice. Paid plans, when available, renew until cancelled.

Availability and changes

We work to keep PatchCut reliable but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may improve, change or retire features. Keep your own copies of important material.

Liability

PatchCut is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using PatchCut and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are handled by its courts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
